Niall Horan Forced To Choose Between Exes Ellie Goulding & Selena Gomez

Well this is awkward! While playing a game on James Corden’s talk show Oct. 26, Niall Horan had to make a tough decision: If he had one day left on Earth, would he spend it with Ellie Goulding…or Selena Gomez? He actually does choose just one — watch here to find out who!
“You’ve dated both Selena Gomez and Ellie Goulding. It’s your last night on Earth, out of the two of them, who would you rather spend it with?” James Corden asked Niall Horan, 23, in a game of “Spill Your Guts or Fill Your Guts.” The premise of the game is that the singer either has to answer the question…or eat something nasty.
The first time around, Niall opted not to reveal his least favorite member of One Direction, and he didn’t want to dabble in another item on the menu, so he actually did choose between his gorgeous exes on this one. “Because it’s the last night on Earth, Ellie is a big fan of Planet Earth by David Attenborough so I would sit and watch that with her,” he said. “And, for that reason, Ellie Goulding.”
Niall and Ellie are still friends after briefly dating in 2013. Their relationship made major headlines in 2014, though, after fans speculated that Ed Sheeran’s song “Don’t” was about how Ellie cheated on him with Niall. Meanwhile, the 1D singer and Selena were linked for a few months at the end of 2015, and while neither of them confirmed a romance, Niall certainly didn’t deny it when James brought it up!
It certainly seems like the 23-year-old still holds a bit of a flame for Ellie — earlier in the day, she was his final choice in a lengthy game of “Who’d You Rather?” on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. What are you trying to tell us, Niall!?
